Archery requires deep concentration, focus and resilience. With our fun and loving environment every class is an opportunity for spending time outdoors, challenging your last scores and competing against yourself.

This program is just for young beginner or intermediate archers to develop skills at their own pace. The curriculum is designed to instill a love for the sport, build confidence and to have fun. Archers have the opportunity to earn achievement pins as their skills grow. You can join in a recreational, plus or competitive membership level.
The JOAD((Junior Olympic Archery Development) This program is for archers who feel excited to grow with the sport and discipline.
JOAD will focus on the whole of archery, the science, philosophy and art of archery. JOAD archers endeavor to grow through earning achievement pins, similar to belts in Karate. Archers also develop skills of the peaceful warrior, skills to get themselves grounded, centered & focused in the face of their fears such as competitions, giving presentations,sitting for exams and the general anxieties of being a kid through the very practice and steps of shooting the bow that are intrinsically linked to grounding, centering, breathing techniques, and the ability to let go with confidence.
Many JOAD archers choose to compete locally and at the state and national levels.You can join in a recreational, plus or competitive membership level.
In this intermediate/advanced archery group that warms up together and has a focus of the day to guide their practice.
Here you continually grow and fortify your archery technique, form, and focus. Get coaching direction and build your skills to shoot further and more accurately.
Dive deeper into each step of the shot cycle, refining your understanding and appreciation of each step of the shot cycle. You can join in a recreational, plus or competitive membership level.

Introduction and safety briefing:
Every new student starts with a thorough safety briefing. You'll learn the essential safety rules and how to handle your equipment responsibly.
Equipment orientation:
You'll get familiar with the bow and arrows, as well as any other necessary gear. This includes understanding the different parts of the bow, how to string it, and how to properly use the arrows.
Instructor led warm up flow:
Instructor will lead the warm up flow of archery specific grounding, breathing, stretching and centering exercises.
Basic techniques:
The instructor will teach you the basics of archery techniques, such as stance, knocking the arrow, drawing the bow, aiming, and releasing the arrow. These fundamentals are crucial for developing your skills.
Supervised practice:
After learning the basics, you'll get to practice shooting under the supervision of your instructors. We'll provide personalized feedback to help you improve your form and accuracy.
Focus of the day:
Will include drills, exercises and Philosophy to build your skills, and your mental awareness that targets specific aspects of the shot cycle, tournament prep, equipment management and more.
Target practice:
You'll have the chance to aim at targets and experience the satisfaction of hitting the bullseye. This part of the class is where you can apply what you've learned and see your progress.
Q&A and wrap-Up:
At the end of the class, there will be time for questions and answers. The instructor will recap the key points and provide tips for further improvement.

I’m also a USA Archery NTS Level 4 Coach and founder of the Atlanta Archery Club. As a dad who also found a love for this sport for my family, I truly can’t wait for you to feel the same power and fun we all share in this nurturing community!

Our outdoor range has a covered shooting line. We typically proceed with class in light raining. If weather requires us to cancel the class, we will reschedule the class date and you’ll be able to attend a different class
